Experience

I am currently training with a Cleveland-based professional modern dance company, and have several years of experience teaching dance in both group studio classes to students of all ages and in private ballet lessons. I recently graduated from the University of Akron with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance, and also took several dance education and human anatomy classes. While a dance major, I had the opportunity to perform in numerous faculty- and student- choreographed concerts, in work choreographed by professional contemporary ballet company members, and at the American College Dance Festival. I find teaching private dance lessons particularly rewarding, in the opportunity to help students learn a new way of movement, or to help them work on finer details of technique.
